Floating Market ...This place was bustling with vendors of all kind....Some on the boats selling food,fruits etc and other vendors on the side of the canal....





GypsySoul:

Floating market! Noodles, pancakes, coconut ice cream, fruits - you name it, it will all come floating to you or you go floating to the stalls! This was quite an experience 💝





Swarna: 

They had long hooky stick to pull the boats near them so that we can buy from them...This was a different and a new experience..




Papu got a refrigerator magnet from them to complete the experience. 



Swarna:

The tattooed people were in the tour van with us too ..sitting next to me...







Swarna:
Had a yummy fried rice and soup...

Chow Time!


The Taste was quite bland with very less spice ...Not What I expected in the coer of Thailand ..And the coconut soup was high on Kafir lime leaves... 




Swarna:

But Oh this coconut Ice-cream will stay in my memory forever....Mika went on the Photo Spree...I sat alone and cherished it bit by bit...to the last scoop...Will go there again just for this ice-cream 💓💓💓💓💓💓

Every spoonful of cold yumminess topped with crunchy nuts and chewy sticky rice...mmmmmm!!! Just hit the spot 😘

As Papu sat in peace enjoying her ice cream, I walked over to the overpass to get a bird's eye view of the floating market. Then I walked along the canal and sat on the pediment on the side enjoying every last bit of that delicious treat watching the boats float by peacefully, On my way back I browsed through the shops with painted coconut bowls, candles, souvenirs. and elephant pants. Got Sheba's birthday gift (yellow candle decor). On hindsight, we should have bought few more gifts there 😍




Swarna:

And the INDIANS were dropped in the Bangkok Downtown and had no clue of how to get to the hotel again...That's when God sent His favor again through Sarah....She arranged a free bus for us and sat and waited with us...Oh sweet sweet Thai people. May God bless em !!





GypsySoul:
We checked into our room, rested a little and got ready for the dinner cruise. 

This day just keeps getting better and better!

City of Angels Krung Thep Sep. 28th. Wednesday: GypsySoul:  It is monsoon season in Thailand. This year has been unusually wet throughout the world and the forecast for Bangkok was 80% rain every day. We were praying for good weather but also packed an umbrella and some ponchos. When we started walking towards River City Mall, I was looking for rain clouds. We knew God would take care but was also cautiously scanning the skies. The sun was shining! Praise God for a Glorious Morning! Swarna: Two minute walk from Talakkia Hotel was this River City Mall...Perfect Location for a Hotel...Hats off Mika for all your hard work and reserach on this...As we went there, a Get your guide Van was waiting on the mall entrance...Our Guide was a sweet Pattima Sarah and She was very friendly...She kept calling us INDIANS though...Took Printouts and IDs but there never asked for anything...Just a name was enough.... Off To Cambodia!

Thursday, Sep 29, 2022 Up, Up and Away! Swarna: Bye Bangkok...Oh wait...We will be back in two days...hehe...Taking up flights back and forth made us feel we were travelling for many days...Even the days slowed down so that we could cherish every moment.. Again a miracle from our awesome God.. Such friendly people...The WOMAN there ( Mika found it hard to accept that fact somehow 😏) was so friendly...She came and stood with us and send us off while we were waiting for taxi ...We felt God's favor surrounding us and it reflected from the people we met... GypsySoul: He came early to the hotel (I still think he is a man! 😅) to help us check out and was hanging out with us, taking our picture and waiting for our taxi. I was able to get a glimpse into his personal life while Papu went to buy us some breakfast snacks. Good natured person! He made the taxi come inside the courtyard closer to us and helped us load  the luggage. Swarna: It was drizzling still in the morning and I got some ...
