Sugar, Spice and Everything Nice!

Onederz hotel is walking distance from the market. The shops had a wonderful selection of tshirts, shorts, fans, bags and souvenirs. They also had fresh produce and silver items.

 

Meat and gold in one stop! Can't beat that!



Tried a few local fruits and something that looked like pickles.







Dressed and ready for whatever the night throws our way!

Girls just wanna have fun!

Pub Street was so much fun. It was lined with bars, massage parlors and restaurants. The streets were strung with colorful lights and music was blasting from every pub. Flashing lights and yummy smells gave a party vibe. Though it was not too crowded, it felt very festive and fun.








The 30 minute foot massage only cost $3 and it came with a shoulder rub too! I really liked when a boy did the massage. The right amount of pressure.








Before things got blurry!






Papu insisted that she wanted to eat Wok sautéed chicken in that particular place where the fire reached the roof! We wandered around looking for a fire that reached the rooftop and finally found it!
Boy did we find it! This is where they spiked the drink for Papu!




They insisted that the drink is virgin. But Papu was in mappu with each sip she took!!! It knocked her head back and her eyes were sokkiying. It was so much fun to see her get drunk for the first time. I assured her that I will take her back to the room even if I had to carry her. I convinced her to finish the whole drink. 








Time for dessert
A beautiful day as today should end in sweetness. It is only fitting to get a coconut rolled ice cream and condensed milk banana pancake as a finishing touch.

Good ending to a good day!




Everything was bit hazy by now and our bodies were moving involuntarily to music. We laugh for no reason and it was past midnight. We finally managed to stumble back to our rooms through dark streets and street dogs. We only remember bits and pieces. 
God sent extra guardian angels that night for sure!




The best nights are those you can't remember with friends you'll never forget!

City of Angels Krung Thep Sep. 28th. Wednesday: GypsySoul:  It is monsoon season in Thailand. This year has been unusually wet throughout the world and the forecast for Bangkok was 80% rain every day. We were praying for good weather but also packed an umbrella and some ponchos. When we started walking towards River City Mall, I was looking for rain clouds. We knew God would take care but was also cautiously scanning the skies. The sun was shining! Swarna: Two minute walk from Talakkia Hotel was this River City Mall...Perfect Location for a Hotel...Hats off Mika for all your hard work and reserach on this...As we went there, a Get your guide Van was waiting on the mall entrance...Our Guide was a sweet Pattima Sarah and She was very friendly...She kept calling us INDIANS though...Took Printouts and IDs but there never asked for anything...Just a name was enough.... Off To Cambodia!

Thursday, Sep 29, 2022 Up, Up and Away! Swarna: Bye Bangkok...Oh wait...We will be back in two days...hehe...Taking up flights back and forth made us feel we were travelling for many days...Even the days slowed down so that we could cherish every moment.. Again a miracle from our awesome God.. Such friendly people...The WOMAN there ( Mika found it hard to accept that fact somehow 😏) was so friendly...She came and stood with us and send us off while we were waiting for taxi ...We felt God's favor surrounding us and it reflected from the people we met... GypsySoul: He came early to the hotel (I still think he is a man! 😅) to help us check out and was hanging out with us, taking our picture and waiting for our taxi. I was able to get a glimpse into his personal life while Papu went to buy us some breakfast snacks. Good natured person!
