Virgin Pina colada and a Dead Fish
After running around all day, it was time to unwind and relax. Papu and I booked for a full body massage through Onedez. They took us on a tuk-tuk to a dark alley to a house where they had a quiet massage parlor.
We were on a massage table right next to each other. It was a deep tissue massage and it felt so good. I was so tired from all the excitement of the day and from the sleep deprivation from jet lag and travel, I started snoring during the massage. Papu tried to wake me up so I could actually enjoy the massage and not just sleep through it :)
Relax, Renew, Rejuvenate!
We felt a little sore, the good kind of sore after they kneaded all the knots out of us. They gave us some green tea to relax.
After the massage we strolled along the Pub Street and saw a huge tank full of fish. We decided to give the fish spa a try.
The fish were pretty big and they were hungry. They were biting us on the feet from every direction and it felt so very ticklish. We kept laughing and jumping and could not keep our feet in the tank. Lot of people on the street were looking at this comical scene. When we were sitting there laughing with our feet up in the air instead of inside the tank, Papu suggested that whoever can put their feet in and keep it there for a few minutes gets a free spa. The other person have to pay for both. But the thought of the nibbling fish and the weird ticklish feeling was keeping both of from sitting still. We were wiggling and giggling like a couple of school girls.
At one point when I tried to take my foot out, a fish jumped up to get me. Then we saw it. One dead fish floating upside down. We were in a fit of laughter looking at the dead fish. Did the fish die after we put our feet in because we were running around all day and our feet were incredibly dirty? or did it die because we were wiggling so much?
The next day Sam told us that it is a circle of life. The fish eat the humans. They get big. Then they get released into the river. The humans catch it and eat it. It must be one of his crazy jokes. We can only hope!
We ate in a restaurant closer to the dance bars tonight. They had loud music, flashing lights and a party vibe going on. But sadly because of post covid time, there weren't many people at those bars.
I ordered a margarita. Papu ordered a virgin Pinacolada. She prayed, "God, I ordered a virgin drink but if it comes spiked like the last time, it is not my fault. I hope it is spiked!" Haha...
