Batman and Superman


We had no idea what was in store for us. I really love exploring caves. Even though I am very claustrophobic and cannot handle closed spaces, I am fascinated by caves and the natural rock formations inside.


We got fitted with helmets and were ready to go!


We had to walk through a tropical jungle to get to the cave. The path was rugged and was overrun by intertwining branches.


Nature is beautiful and we are stewards of God's creation!
 What a beautiful outlook to have about our environment. I really enjoy the positive outlook about God in Philippines!


Motto:
Kill nothing but time
Take nothing but pictures
Burn nothing but calories
Leave nothing but footprints
Bring nothing but memories

Challenge Accepted!


Once we came to the entrance of the cave, we had to squeeze through some tight nooks and cracks. It was fun and not very scary.


Johnathan took us through the rocks and pointed out the ones that make a musical sound when we tap on it.


We had no idea what was in store for us next!


They strapped the harness on and let us climb up a cave wall holding just a couple of ropes. The footing was not very steady and the ascent was steep.

Adventure awaits in every shadow!


Spelunking mode: ON. 


Life begins at the end of your comfort zone. 
This sure was way out of our comfort zone!


Wow...that was extreme! 


Came out of that with a smile! Mission accomplished!


We had to climb countless wooden steps through the rocks to go to the top of the mountain.



Like little insects crawling through rocks.

Go where you feel most alive!


We did it! We came to the top of the mountain!


We survived the Ugong Cave Adventures and lived to talk about it!!!

What goes up must come down! Oh boy! We zoomed down!


It was my turn first.


I chose the Superman position because I thought it will feel like flying if I zipped through air like a bird.


Adventure is the spice of life


They actually let me hold the phone and videotape while zip-lining down
I believe I can fly! I believe I can touch the sky!


Then it was Batman's turn.

***Comedy Alert***

Papu got the blessings of the bat on her helmet at the underground cave. So she transformed to Batman!!!





Superman and Batman are the best travel buddies

City of Angels Krung Thep Sep. 28th. Wednesday: GypsySoul:  It is monsoon season in Thailand. This year has been unusually wet throughout the world and the forecast for Bangkok was 80% rain every day. We were praying for good weather but also packed an umbrella and some ponchos. When we started walking towards River City Mall, I was looking for rain clouds. We knew God would take care but was also cautiously scanning the skies. The sun was shining! Swarna: Two minute walk from Talakkia Hotel was this River City Mall...Perfect Location for a Hotel...Hats off Mika for all your hard work and reserach on this...As we went there, a Get your guide Van was waiting on the mall entrance...Our Guide was a sweet Pattima Sarah and She was very friendly...She kept calling us INDIANS though...Took Printouts and IDs but there never asked for anything...Just a name was enough.... Off To Cambodia!

Thursday, Sep 29, 2022 Up, Up and Away! Swarna: Bye Bangkok...Oh wait...We will be back in two days...hehe...Taking up flights back and forth made us feel we were travelling for many days...Even the days slowed down so that we could cherish every moment.. Again a miracle from our awesome God.. Such friendly people...The WOMAN there ( Mika found it hard to accept that fact somehow 😏) was so friendly...She came and stood with us and send us off while we were waiting for taxi ...We felt God's favor surrounding us and it reflected from the people we met... GypsySoul: He came early to the hotel (I still think he is a man! 😅) to help us check out and was hanging out with us, taking our picture and waiting for our taxi. I was able to get a glimpse into his personal life while Papu went to buy us some breakfast snacks. Good natured person!
